This study examines the urgency of mastering Arabic as a core competency in the management of Hajj and Umrah services in Indonesia. Using a descriptive qualitative approach based on literature review, the research discusses the strategic role of Arabic in improving service quality, overcoming communication challenges, and meeting quality management standards. The analysis reveals that Arabic is not merely a communication tool but also a crucial element in service success, particularly in interactions with local authorities and the execution of pilgrim worship activities. Comparative studies from several countries, such as Malaysia, Pakistan, and India, highlight that integrating Arabic training and recruitment in human resource development significantly enhances service efficiency. This study recommends the integration of contextual-based Arabic training, cross-institutional collaboration, and the utilization of digital technology to strengthen human resource competencies in this sector. The findings underscore the need for national standardization of Arabic proficiency and the development of tiered training programs.
