ARABIC LANGUAGE TRAINING FOR PROSPECTIVE HAJJ AND UMRAH PILGRIMS AT KBIH THORIQUL JANNAH JOMBANG

Abstract

Arabic is one of the most influential languages in the world. The importance of the role of Arabic in supporting the departure of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims must be studied. Supposedly, KBIHU in Indonesia provides Arabic language debriefing services for prospective Hajj and Umrah students. This study aims to determine the application of Arabic language debriefing for prospective pilgrims for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims at KBIHU Thoriqul Jannah Jombang. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. The data collection instrument was carried out by interview and documentation methods. The research results at KBIHU Thoriqul Jannah Jombang stated that the provision of Arabic for prospective Hajj and Umrah pilgrims can help them communicate independently when carrying out worship in the holy land. For example, they want to ask when they are lost or are going to make a buying and selling transaction. The implementation of Arabic language debriefing is carried out by giving mufrodat to the pilgrims, and then they practice the mufrodat that has been obtained together with enthusiasm. This institution also facilitates a WhatsApp-based application called SIAR in which there are several mufrodat that make it easier for worshippers to communicate while in the holy land.
